Ottawa: Canada has achieved great success in overcoming the epidemic the fastest, and all this has happened because of our approach to immigration.

“Newcomers enrich our communities, help the country’s economy to thrive, create new employment opportunities, and make a big contribution to our local businesses,” immigration minister Sean Fraser said in a statement. Recognizing this price, the Government of Canada planned to welcome 431,645 new permanent residents in 2022.

Fraser said that Canada has achieved its goal and also broke the record of 2021. For the first time in a year in Canada’s history, such a large number of people were welcomed. Earlier in 1913, a large number of newcomers came to Canada.

Fraser said that this achievement could not have been achieved without the hard work of the employees of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

In 2022, the IRCC processed an estimated 5.2 million applications for permanent residency, temporary residency and citizenship.
