Chandigarh: Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, who had tested positive for dengue yesterday, has been admitted to the local Guru Nanak Dev Medical College and Hospital in Amritsar.
At present their condition is out of danger and is constantly improving. Thanking his fans, friends and relatives who are coming to the hospital to enquire his health, the minister said that with the grace of the Lord, he is in recuperating.
He said that his tests were conducted at the hospital, so he was admitted to the hospital after testing dengue positive.
On this occasion, the superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Karanjit Singh, said that the health of the minister is improving and there is no need to worry. He informed that dengue tests of all patients are done free of cost in the hospital and treatment is also free of cost.
He also appealed to the general public to contact the nearest government hospital for treatment if they are sick due to dengue. Dengue cases are increasing steadily in Amritsar. So far this season, more than 200 cases have been reported.
Symptoms of dengue
In dengue, the body temperature rises by 102 degrees or more. It is accompanied by headaches, body aches, vomiting and skin rashes. A dengue patient takes 7 to 10 days to recover.
