New Delhi: The BJP on Saturday staged a massive protest outside the Aam Aadmi Party offices in Delhi demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
The BJP hit out at the chief minister for questioning the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) supplementary charge sheet in the case, saying it proved he was involved in corruption. A court on Thursday accepted a supplementary charge sheet against five individuals and seven companies in connection with alleged irregularities in the Delhi excise policy, which was withdrawn by the AAP government last year after recommending a CBI probe into alleged corruption.
The ED claimed that a part of the alleged Rs 100 crore “kickback” earned from the excise policy was used by the AAP in the Goa Assembly elections held last year.
Kejriwal has said that the case was “fake” and its purpose has come to help the BJP. Kejriwal said that the party which rules at the Centre dominates agencies like the ED.
