Amritsar: Bibi Jagir Kaur, a former cabinet minister and former president of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee( SGPC), has written a letter to Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh.
Bibi Jagir Kaur appealed to the Jathedar to direct the SGPC to counter the hate propaganda against the Sikhs.
She urged the Giani Harpreet Singh in the letter that hate propaganda against Sikhs is being done in a very systematic manner in the country. An atmosphere of hatred against Sikhs is being created on social media with a calculated move. Even in Punjab, those who make hate speeches about the Sikh community are provided security.
To counter this hate campaign, it is very important for the Sikh community to have its own platform of competition so that the country and the people can get the right information about the Sikh community.
At the same time, Bibi Jagir Kaur has appealed to the Jathedar to issue instructions to the SGPC to set up its own platform to expose this hate propaganda as soon as possible.
