Vancouver : Home sales in British Columbia saw a significant drop in June, with 7,082 homes sold, marking a 19% decrease from June 2023, according to the BC Real Estate Association. The Fraser Valley experienced the largest decline, with sales down 32%, followed by Greater Vancouver with an 18.5% decrease. Other regions like the Okanagan, Kamloops, and South Peace River also saw over 20% drops. Despite fewer sales, the average home price increased by 1% to $998,159. The total sales dollar volume fell by 18% to $7.1 billion. The BCREA notes that both sales and listings are gradually increasing, maintaining market balance.
