Surrey: The third man accused of killing Sikh activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in British Columbia has been assigned a court date that falls on the same day as the other two suspects.
The next scheduled appearance on May 21 is Kamalpreet Singh, according to case records from Surrey Provincial Court.
Indian nationals Kamalpreet Singh, Karanpreet Singh, and Karan Brar were detained in Edmonton last week on suspicion of murder.
In June 2023, Nijjar was shot and killed in his truck as he was exiting the Guru Nanak Sikh temple parking lot.
Brar and Karanpreet Singh had already been assigned appearance dates; however, Kamalpreet Singh’s appointment was postponed while he sought legal representation.
