Apple launched a new generation of MacBook Pro and AirPods in a virtual session on Monday morning.
MacBook Pro
The new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros are powered by its new M1 Pro and M1 max chip, which Apple claims are a lot faster and may go further to replace the “Pro” performance computers still currently powered by Intel chips. Out is the Touch Bar, in are returning HDMI port, SD card slot and MagSafe connectors. While the 14 inch is priced at $2499, the 16 inch version comes at the hefty price tag of $3149. Both versions can be pre-ordered today and will start shipping next week
AIRPODS
Apple also introduced its third-generation AirPods, the latest set of the company’s massively popular true wireless earbuds.According to Apple the new generation AirPods now have 6 hours of listening time on a charge, and up to 30 hours total using the charging case. Priced at $179, the AirPods will be available to preorder today and will go on sale next week.
