Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has made a big announcement just before the assembly elections in the state this year. He announced the creation of 19 new districts in the state in the assembly on Friday.

Along with increasing the number of districts, he also announced the creation of three new divisions in the state.

After this announcement of CM Gehlot, the total number of districts in Rajasthan has now increased to 50 while the number of divisions has increased to 10.

The CM said that in view of the demand of the MLAs, his government has taken this decision. “We have also created new districts so that every area can be developed properly. Earlier, due to the large border of the districts, it used to take time to take development works to every area, but now this will not happen.”
