Chandigarh: Mansa police have beefed up security around Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s family following threats and inputs from security agencies about the attack. Police have sealed the village Moosa and every visitor is being frisked.
According to the information received, after the input received by Mansa district, about 150 security personnel have been deployed outside Sidhu Moosewala’s house, who will monitor the house and family 24 hours. Vehicles with LMG have also been parked outside the house for surveillance. Checkpoints have been set up on every road leading to and from the village. Vehicles are being searched and people are also being questioned.
According to sources, Mansa police received inputs from intelligence agencies that Sidhu Moosewala’s family may be attacked. His father is making every effort to get justice for his son and is also openly making statements against gangsters. Due to which they have received threats.
In Sidhu Moosewala murder case, the police has submitted a supplementary charge against 7 accused in the court. The case is against gangster Lawrence’s close aides Mani Toofan, Mani Raia, shooter Deepak Mundi and Sidhu Moosewala’s neighbour Jagtar Singh.
