Ottawa: India is resuming processing business, medical and conference visa applications in Ottawa and at its consulates in Toronto and Vancouver.

It will also be processing visas for people with family ties in India.

Immigration Minister Marc Miller says India’s decision to start resuming some visa services in Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver is a good sign.

Miller says the last month has been an anxious time for many Canadians, noting the suspension of services shouldn’t have happened in the first place.

New Delhi suspended the services in Canada and for Canadian citizens worldwide a month ago after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said intelligence services were probing “credible” information about “a potential link” between India’s government and the killing of a Sikh leader in B.C. – The Canadian Press
