Chandigarh: A woman Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) worker from Punjab’s Jalandhar district has filed a case against the alleged Personal Assistant (PA) of a Cabinet Minister.
The woman leader alleged that a man posing as Punjab Transport Minister Laljit Bhullar’s PA called her on mobile and said that he would get her a chairman’s post, if she continues to talk to him.
The local AAP has posted a post on her social media handle and sought people’s assistance. “When someone lured the woman with a ticket and the post of president by posing as a minister’s PA what step should be taken,” she questioned in her post.
Later, the worker, Harminder Kaur, lodged a complaint with the Jalandhar police and sought registration of a case against the person for posing as minister’s PA.
In her complaint, Harminder Kaur said she has two children and an elderly mother living in her house and has been associated with the Aam Aadmi Party for the last 18 months. Earlier, she did not support any political party.
Attacking the AAP government, senior SAD leader Bikram Majithia wrote on Twitter, “The moral depravity to which Aam Aadmi Party has descended knows no bounds. It’s clear our daughters & sisters are not safe in this immoral regime. The encouragement given to sexual offenders like @LC_Kataruchak by CM @BhagwantMann is responsible for this state of affairs. @AamAadmiParty. “
