Once again covid-19 exposures are breaking records in surrey schools.

In a single day there have been more than 19 school exposures notices sent by the health department. Since the pandemic began that’s the highest number of notices sent to any city.

Bonnie Henry appointed a deputy provincial health officer to deal with the situation.

“The Provincial Health Office has chosen not to mandate masks in schools even as they make them mandatory in other public spaces. We continue to say to teachers, wear masks. Work with your colleagues to create a culture of mask wearing. Model it in your classes,” said B.C. Teachers’ Federation.
