Ontario: The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has recalled several brands of beef jelly tongue products in Ontario due to possible Listeria contamination. The recall, announced on Saturday, affects 13 brands and includes products that may not have a labeled brand. These products may be labeled as Jellied Beef Tongue, Beef Tongue & Jelly, or Beef Tongue in Jelly.

The potentially contaminated products were sold in London, Waterloo, Kitchener, and the Greater Toronto Area. Listeria contamination can cause symptoms like vomiting, nausea, fever, muscle aches, headaches, and neck stiffness. It is especially dangerous for people with weakened immune systems, the elderly, and pregnant women. Consumers are advised to throw out the affected products or return them to the store.
