Toronto : MPs are calling for a quick public inquiry into the immigration and security screening of a father and son recently charged in connection with a foiled Toronto terror plot. They want to hear from several high-level officials, including Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc and Immigration Minister Marc Miller. The father and son, arrested in July, face terrorism charges and are accused of planning a serious attack in Toronto. The committee wants to investigate how the father was allowed to immigrate to Canada and how his son, who is not a Canadian citizen, was involved. The federal government is conducting an internal review, and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has stated the situation is being taken seriously
