Abbotsford: The Abbotsford International Airshow was a big hit, with a full house as thousands came to enjoy the mix of old and new aircraft. This year celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force, featuring planes from World War II and modern military jets. Major Cameron Lowden explained a NORAD exercise where an F-16 intercepts a plane in restricted airspace, similar to the protection around Washington, D.C.

The event was family-friendly, with activities for kids like building and launching paper rockets and using soldering tools to make light-up toy jets. Many planes were open for tours, letting visitors explore the cockpits. The show ended with a thrilling performance by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds.
