British Columbia: The B-C government says a new mobile service option is helping people who are unable to visit a Service B-C office in person.
It says a van has been equipped to offer the majority of the services available at 65 Service B-C locations throughout the province, including renewing drivers’ licenses.
A statement from Minister of Citizens’ Services Lisa Beare says the van could also be used to support people affected by wildfires and flooding.
Lenore Reid, a community advocate with the Heiltsuk Tribal Council on B-C’s central coast, says the van is a much-needed service for her community, where nearly 80 residents have recently
used it.
