Ottawa : Hundreds of Canadians and people with connections to Canada are still waiting for a chance to escape the bloody conflict between Israel and Hamas.
It’s not yet known if any will get a chance to cross the border into Egypt today.
The federal government says, so far, 367 Canadians, permanent residents and their relatives have been able to escape via the Rafah border crossing — most recently two people on Wednesday and 10 on Monday.
Health officials in the Palestinian territory say more than 11-thousand, 400 people have been killed — two-thirds of them women
and children.
