Victoria: The B.C. government has asked people in the province to prepare for expected seasonal stormy conditions, which include increased rainfall and chances of flooding. 

In a press statement, the Ministry of Emergency Management and Climate Readiness said strong winds and heavy rainfall have been predicted in parts of B.C.’s coast. 

The warning for atmospheric rivers, which are common in the prince, begins from Tuesday, October 17. 

Rainfall warning has been issued for Howe Sound, inland Vancouver Island, and western Vancouver Island. 

Environment Canada issues wind warning for Central Coast, Haida Gwaii and northern Vancouver Island. 

River Forecast Centre has issued high-streamflow advisories for North Thompson, South Thompson, Upper Columbia region, Vancouver Island, Sunshine Coast, and Howe Sound.
