Vancouver: Police are investigating a collision incident in which a pedestrian died on Wednesday morning. 

Vancouver Police said a pedestrian was struck and killed in South Vancouver.

“A 60-year-old man was struck by a transit bus near Fleming Street and East 41st Avenue just after 6 am. The man was taken to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries,” Vancouver Police said in a statement.

According to police, the driver of the bus remained on scene and speed and impairment are not considered factors.

Vancouver Police Department’s Collision Investigation Unit continues to investigate.
