Surrey: Two persons have been charged in connection with an assault incident that happened on Friday in Whalley.
In a press release, Surrey RCMP said 31-year-old Parminder Singh Brar and 21-year-old Simarpal Singh were charged with aggravated assault, who are in custody.
RCMP said on August 18, officers received multiple reports of a man walking around a parking lot with a machete in the 10100 block of King George Boulevard at approximately 11:22 pm.
“While on route, police were updated that the man allegedly struck a vehicle with the machete and an altercation ensued with the two occupants of the vehicle,” RCMP said.
“Upon police arrival a man with significant life-threatening injuries was located. A 55-year-old man, who received injuries, was transported to hospital.
Surrey RCMP Serious Crime Unit identified and arrested the suspects after investigation.
