Victoria: British Columbia’s Health Minister Adrian Dix said a newly ratified agreement between midwives and the province will be transformative and help grow the profession.

This comes after a vote among members of the Midwives Association of British Columbia garnered 99 per cent support for the agreement.

Some 89 per cent of eligible association members took part in the ballot on July 31st.

Fees will increase every year under the three-year agreement, which is effective retroactively from April 2022 until March 2025. — Canadian Press
