Ottawa: The Canadian Industrial Relations Board is warning the union representing some 74-hundred British Columbia port workers not to change its mind on recommending a new deal to its members.
The board’s order, which was issued on Sunday, also said the union must hold a ratification vote on the deal no later than this Friday.
This comes after the International Longshore and Warehouse Union Canada and the B-C- Maritime Employers Association announced a late-night breakthrough that was reached with the assistance of the industrial relations board.
