New Delhi: In Haryana’s Kurukshetra, hundreds of farmers protesting seeking MSP prices of crops were lathi-charged on Tuesday. The farmers sitting on the road were forcibly removed by the police and during this time force was also used.
Disgruntled over this, Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikait condemned this lathi charge and said that this is the first lathi charge on MSP in the country, now there is need to launch a bigger movement than the Movement of Delhi against the Centre to press for the demands.
Rakesh Tikait, who was a big face of the farmers’ movement in Delhi against the agricultural laws, has once again warned of a big agitation. Regarding the lathi charge in Kurukshetra, Tikait said that if there is a lathi charge, there will also be a jam.
