Chandigarh: Moga Vigilance questioned Mayor Nitika Bhalla for four hours in CCTV and plant tender scam of the Municipal Corporation.

In this case, Bhalla was called to the Vigilance Office on Thursday.

She reached the vigilance office along with her councillors at 9 am. There she was questioned for about 4 hours. During this time, the councilors accompanying the mayor waited outside. The mayor, who came out after the questioning, said she herself was surprised why summons had been issued to her.

She said that none of the senior deputy mayors, deputy mayors, and F&CC members have received summons.

Nitika Bhalla said that she met the vigilance officers for the first time. She was asked questions about the tender for CCTV cameras.

She said that the tender was passed before May 13, 2021, when she was not the mayor. She had no role in it. Secondly, in the case of the city’s beautification plant, she claimed that 25 percent of the work has been done in it. In this case, she himself is the complainant. She says she’s not afraid of any investigation.
