Amritsar: Another blast took place near Sri Guru Ram Das Saran in Sri Darbar Sahib complex late night on Wednesday. The blast took place around 12.30 am in which there was no loss of life.

Commissioner of Police Naunihal Singh told the media that the blast took place between 12.15 am and 12.30 am. There was a loud sound of explosion.

Police arrived after receiving information about the blast, but due to darkness, it was difficult to investigate at night. The area was cordoned off by the police.

He said that the police are investigating the matter in depth.

Forensic experts and others rushed to the spot after getting information about the incident.

Pertinently, since Sunday, there have been three explosions near Sri Darbar Sahib. The two blasts took place at Saragarhi Saran. Apart from the police, the national security agency is also investigating these two blasts in the past. Due to these blasts, there is tense atmosphere around Sri Darbar Sahib.

Meanwhile, DGP Gaurav Yadav has informed in a tweet that the police have arrested five people in connection with the blast.

He said the Punjab Police was committed to maintaining peace and law and order in the state.
