New Delhi: The CBI team has reached Satya Pal Malik’s house in connection with the alleged insurance scam case. Former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Malik was served a notice by the CBI some time ago.

In its notice, the CBI had asked Malik to join the questioning in connection with the corruption case. Malik is being questioned by the CBI in connection with alleged irregularities in two projects in Jammu and Kashmir.

Two FIRs were also registered in these cases. These cases were registered when Satya Pal Malik was the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.

In October 2021, Malik had claimed that he was allegedly offered a bribe of Rs 300 crore to clear a file related to the RSS leader. These bribes were being paid for the files of two projects. “I cancelled both the deals on the basis of what was told by both the departments that it was a scam. The CBI had registered two FIRs in this regard,” he had said.

Satya Pal Malik has been attacking the central government for a long time. He also spoke in support of the farmers sitting on a sit-in against the farm bill. During that time, he also opposed the bill passed by the central government.

He had said that the repeal of the Centre’s three farm laws is a historic victory for the farmers.
