Chandigarh: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India has sought a report from the Punjab government related to Amritpal Singh following his arrest on Sunday. The state government has submitted its initial investigation report the MHA and National Investigation Agency (NIA).

It has been revealed that he was using a foreign number during his run. He was in the link with his colleagues through WhatsApp calling. The MHA asked the Punjab government to send a report on the arrest of Amritpal Singh and the Punjab Police’s line of action. The Punjab government informed authorities about arrests, shelterers, foreign funding and Amritpal Singh’s links with foreign terrorists. The Punjab government has specifically exposed Amritpal Singh’s Pakistani links.

In this report, the MHA sought complete details of those who sheltered Amritpal Singh after his escape. The MHA also sought a report on Amritpal’s location movement. After which today the Punjab government has handed over the entire record to the MHA.

At the same time, the NIA has submitted its report to the MHA in this case. In its initial report, the NIA has mentioned the funding of Amritpal Singh and his ISI links.
