New Delhi: Former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik has been summoned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and asked to join the interrogation in connection with the corruption case. The CBI is likely to question Malik on April 27 and 28. Satya Pal Malik is likely to be questioned at a guest house on Akbar Road.
However, the CBI has not yet said anything officially about this notice. Satya Pal Malik is likely to be questioned in connection with alleged irregularities in two projects in Jammu and Kashmir. Two cases were also registered in connection with these cases. These cases were registered when Satya Pal Malik was the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, sources said.
In October 2021, Malik had claimed that he was allegedly offered a bribe of Rs 300 crore to clear a file related to the RSS leader. These bribes were being paid for the files of two projects. He had said, “I was told by both the departments that it was a scam and I cancelled both the deals on the basis of that.”The CBI had registered two FIRs in this regard.
