New Delhi: The Arvind Kejriwal government has called a one-day special session of the Delhi Assembly. This special session has been called after the summons sent by the CBI to CM Kejriwal.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has emerged as a ray of hope for the country and that is why attempts are being made to crush it. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday claimed that Kejriwal was trembling with fear after being summoned by the CBI in connection with an excise policy case.

The CBI has summoned Kejriwal for questioning on Sunday in connection with the excise policy case. In his first reaction, Kejriwal said he will appear before the agency on Sunday.

“The day I spoke against corruption in the Delhi Assembly, I knew that the next number would be mine,” he said.

Kejriwal has been asked to be present at the agency headquarters at 11 am to answer the questions of the CBI investigation team.

On the question of summoning Kejriwal by the CBI, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said, “You are not seeing what is happening nowadays. However, all are doing good work for development in their respective states. No one knows how much respect he (Kejriwal) has there, how much people believe in him. What do we say about this now, they will answer in time. But it is likely that similar action is likely to be taken against others as well. So we should stay united,” he said.
