Chandigarh: Former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Friday visited the Punjab Vigilance Bureau headquarters in Mohali and joined the vigilance probe in the disproportionate assets case.
Earlier, talking to media, the former chief minister said all this was a political agenda. A conspiracy has been hatched against him.
Channi also said that he may also be arrested today. He said, “I am not going to be afraid of anyone. They can even kill me.”
During this, Channi said that it is surprising that on the day of Vaisakhi holiday, the Punjab government has opened its office and called him for questioning. He said he had said from day one that he was ready to face the atrocities of the government. He said that today he has been called by vigilance.
He also disclosed the details of the property in his and his son’s name. Charanjit Channi had arrived with his lawyers at the vigilance office Mohali from the Congress Bhawan. An inquiry is underway by the Punjab Vigilance in this regard.
