Chandigarh: Ending speculations of a rift in the Punjab Congress over the post of party President, Navjot Singh Sidhu, in the presence of Punjab Congress president Amarinder Raja Warrin, on Thursday said that he does not crave for any post. He was working for the Congress party and will continue to do so. He said that this is the same Congress, which liberated the country.
Replying to question on Raja Warring, Sidhu said that he is the head of the institution. It is our duty to obey his every decision.
Wherever the party imposes his duty, he will perform it with full vigor.
He said he would also visit the homes of old workers to unite and strengthen the Congress and bow down to convince the disgruntled workers. He said the contribution of old people of the party cannot be forgotten.
“We will also convince old party workers and will not allow them to sit at home.”
State Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring said the party doesn’t belong to one person but with the cooperation of all. They will all come together and convince the angry leaders of the party to work together to further strengthen the party base.
