Jaipur: Former Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot ended his one-day fast against the Ashok Gehlot government on Tuesday. After the hunger strike, Sachin Pilot said, “I had kept the fast only for the purpose of taking action on corruption. If there was any issue with the organisation, I would have spoken to the organisation. For a year, I had been demanding from the chief minister. Our fight against corruption will continue. Our struggle will continue.”
Sachin Pilot said, “Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has become in charge a few days ago. I had also spoken to the former in-charges, but this corruption case still remains. We should speak against corruption. Our fight against corruption will continue.”
“We have a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. In such a situation, action should also be taken. I hope action will be taken. The fight against corruption will continue. We want clean politics in the country and the state.”
Pilot was sitting on a hunger strike against the Chief Minister Gehlot government demanding an inquiry into the scams under the BJP’s CM Vasundhara Raje regime. He reached the Martyrs’ Memorial along with his supporters in the morning. However, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi distanced themselves from these fasts. Many members of the Gandhi family did not appear in the fast.
Rahul, Sonia photos missing from hoardings
Rahul and Sonia Gandhi’s photos nor Congress symbol on the hoardings were missing. Only Mahatma Gandhi’s photo was put on the poster. On the other hand, state Congress in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa canceled his Jaipur visit. Randhawa had termed Pilot’s hunger strike as anti-party activity.
