Ottawa: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s chief of staff, Katie Telford, will appear before the parliamentary committee on Friday.
According to information provided by the Prime Minister’s Office, Telford will testify before the Procedure and The House Affairs Committee on the issue of foreign interference in the Canadian elections. The office also said that no exact time has been given in this regard yet.
Telford agreed to meet with the committee last month. But her trial was postponed by the Liberals due to various obstacles.
At the time, NDP leader Jagmeet Singh had said that if the government did not agree on its own, the NDP would support the resolution brought by the Conservatives to testify to Telford.
