Chandigarh: The arrest of pro-Khalistan fugitive Amritpal Singh still remains a puzzle for the police and other agencies. Punjab Police is conducting raids and search operations at different locations to find Amritpal.

Meanwhile, Amritpal Singh has also released a video. After this video surfaced, sources associated with the police said that Amritpal has released this video because he wants to surrender and he might be in Punjab.

In this, while he has criticized the arrest of Sikh youth by the police, he has appealed to the Jathedar of Akal Takht to call sarbat Khalsa on Baisakhi and sangat from all over the country and abroad should attend it. At the same time, he said, “I am in Chardi Kalan’ and his arrest is in the hands of the Waheguru. I am not afraid of being arrested.”

He said that police crackdown not against him but against the Sikh community.

Meanwhile, the Punjab Police has started raids and investigations at possible places where Amritpal Singh is more likely to be hiding.

According to sources, this video of Amritpal has been uploaded from abroad. The handle from which this video has been sent is from the UK. The YouTube account, on which this video was uploaded, banned by the government immediately after this video surfaced.

Radical Sikh preacher Amritpal Singh has been on the run for the past 12 days and has not been caught despite a massive search operation by the police. The video surfaced after police sources claimed that Amritpal Singh had returned to Punjab and was planning to surrender.

Amritpal Singh is wanted in connection with the attack on a police station with an armed mob last month. It is said that when he was traveling towards Amritsar through the villages of Hoshiarpur, the Punjab Police received information about this. Sources said he is present in the area.
