New Delhi: The opposition’s uproar continues in Parliament even today. For the last several days, the opposition has been continuously creating ruckus on the issue of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s membership disqualification.
Due to this, proceedings of the House are being disrupted. The opposition continues to protest against decision to disqualify Gandhi from the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
Earlier, a meeting of the Congress Parliamentary Party was held under the leadership of Mallikarjun Kharge, in which the future strategy was discussed.
The Question Hour could not be held again in the House today. As soon as the proceedings began, it was adjourned in less than a minute due to the ruckus. Some opposition members dressed in black protested in the well of the House.
Amid the ruckus, P V Midhun Reddy, who was present as the speaker, said the behaviour of the members was inappropriate and adjourned the proceedings till 2 pm.
After both houses of Parliament were adjourned till noon, BJP OBC leader and MP PP Chaudhary said that Rahul Gandhi had insulted the backward castes of the country. “We demand that Rahul Gandhi apologise. Backward classes will never forgive Rahul Gandhi.”
Members of the ruling front and the opposition are face to face over the disqualification of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha. Since the start of the second part of the budget session on 13 March, the Lok Sabha has been facing constant uproar over several issues by opposition members. The Question Hour has been disrupted regularly since March 13.
