Chandigarh: The Punjab Police is searching in five states to nab fugitive Amritpal Singh, the head of Waris Punjab De, but he is still absconding.
In a latest development, a selfie of Amritpal Singh and his associate Papalpreet has surfaced online.
For the first time after his escape, Amritpal’s entire face is clearly visible and he could be seen wearing a turban and sticking beard. It is, however, not verified by authorities whether it is a fresh photo of Amritpal or not.
Police sources said that there are some reports that Amritpal has arrival in Nepal.
In a letter sent to the Consular Services Department on Saturday, the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu requested government agencies to arrest Amritpal if he tries to flee Nepal, local newspaper reported.
The Indian has requested the Nepal government to stop fugitive pro-Khalistan activist and ‘Waris Punjab De’ chief Amritpal Singh from fleeing to a third country. If he tries to escape using an Indian passport or a fake passport, do not allow him to go and arrest him.
However, there has been no response from the Punjab Police, Punjab government or the central government on this so far.
