Ottawa: The U.S. President, Joe Biden, on Thursday arrived in Ottawa for his two-day visit to Canada. 

He was welcomed by Canada’s Governor General Mary Simon along with Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland and Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly. 

U.S. Ambassador Canada David Cohen and Canadian Ambassador to the U.S. Kirsten Hillman were also present on the occasion. 

After landing in Ottawa, Joe Biden met Canada’s Governor General Mary Simon. Later in the evening, U.S. President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden were hosted by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Trudeau at Rideau Cottage. 

Before the arrival of Joe Biden, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tweeted the priority issues of both countries. 

Trudeau tweeted, “Later today, Joe Biden arrives in Ottawa. We’ll be working on the many different priorities we share – like creating good jobs for workers, strengthening trade between our countries, fighting climate change, and growing the middle class. More to come this evening and tomorrow.”
