Surrey: RCMP have said that a man has been arrested on break and enter and obstructing a peace officer charges.The police said there were outstanding warrants issued against him.

In a press release, Surrey RCMP said on March 16 at 1:26 am, officers responded to the report of a break and enter in progress in the 14000 block of 103A Avenue. Police said the residence was unoccupied at the time of the alleged break in and the suspect was seen on video.

According to the statement, police arrived on scene quickly and contained the residence and the suspect exited through a window and attempted to flee on foot. The Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Service was on scene and assisted with taking the suspect into custody.

RCMP said the suspect was transported to Surrey RCMP cells where outstanding arrest warrants related to Burnaby RCMP, New Westminster Police, and Transit Police investigations were executed. 

The outstanding warrants included a Canada wide warrant for two counts of break and enter out of Burnaby, BC.

On March 17, 36-year-old Sean Trevor Cuddeford was charged with break and enter and obstructing a peace officer. He remains in custody awaiting his next court appearance.

The offender is alleged to have committed serious offences in multiple jurisdictions and will now be brought before the courts, says Surrey RCMP Media Relations Officer Corporal Vanessa Munn.
