Chandigarh: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a charge sheet against the ongoing nexus between pro-Khalistan organizations and terrorists based in Pakistan. The charge sheet was filed against 12 accused.
In this charge sheet prepared after 6 months of investigation, NIA raided 91 places in 25 districts of 4 states.
The NIA says that ten others are currently being investigated in this case. These included those planning to eliminate some leaders, singers and businessmen.
The NIA investigation has also revealed the links of accused Arshdeep Singh Gill alias Arsh Dalla with the Khalistan Tiger Force. Arsh Dala was also in touch with Khalistanis based in Canada besides being in touch with Pakistan-based conspirators.
The chargesheet filed in Delhi reveals the gang related to the elimination of gangster-terror networks as well as their funding and support infrastructure. The accused were planning to carry out target killings and were also raising funds to carry out terrorist activities under a deep-rooted conspiracy with terrorists.
The NIA has filed a charge sheet against 12 accused. These include Arsh Dalla, Gaurav Patial, Sukhpreet, Kaushal Chaudhary, Amit Dagar, Naveen Bali, Chhotu Bhat, Asif Khan, Jagga Takhtmal, Tillu Tajpuria, Bhuppi Rana and Sandeep Brar. The chargesheet against him has been filed after 6 months of extensive search and investigation of around 100 members of various organised crime support networks.
Around 20 weapons, 527 rounds of ammunition, 195 digital devices, 281 documents etc were seized in these raids and searches. Seven LOCs and 10 NBWs have so far been issued during the course of the investigations. Three Immovable properties and three movable properties have been attached/seized under Section 25 UA(P) Act, NIA said in a statement.
