Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana High Court issued a notice to the Punjab government and its officials on the basis of a Habeas corpus petition. The plea has sought directions to the Jalandhar Police Commissioner and other officials to produce Amritpal Singh, who was allegedly detained, to ensure justice.

He said others have also been detained without any legal action. The high court has been asked to send the warrant officer to the ‘spot’.
