Chandigarh: Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s parents Balkaur Singh and his mother Charan Kaur sat on a protest outside the Punjab Assembly on Tuesday. They are accompanied by family and friends.
Balkaur Singh has slammed the Punjab government for not arresting the real perpetrators of his son’s murder. This protest has been organised a few days before his son’s first death anniversary to be obsessed. They said that as long as this session continues, their protest will continue.
Following receiving the information about protest, Agriculture Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal reached to convince them. Balkaur Singh has been demanding justice for the last 10 months. The budget session is currently underway in the Punjab Assembly.
Meanwhile, the Congress MLAs have also come in support of them and joined the protest. Talking to reporters, Balkaur Singh said that he is sitting on a sit-in to seek justice for his son. Is it wrong to ask for justice for your son? The police have so far taken action against the attackers, gangsters and shooters. But no action is being taken against main conspirators.
Balkaur Singh said that when the Congress government was in power, his son was safe. but the formation of the AAP government, his son’s security was withdrawn. Baltej Pannu put up a post and leaked the information. This sensitive list was made public so that the gangsters could know that their son was unarmed. He has come to this government to demand justice for his son.
To observe the first death anniversary on March 19
Sidhu Moosewala was murdered on May 29, 2022, in Jawaharke, Mansa. He was on his way to meet his relative when the gangsters openly shot him dead. But his first death anniversary is being celebrated on March 19.
Father Balkaur Singh said that there is a possibility of a huge gathering on the first anniversary. In such a situation, the heat will also increase a lot in the coming days. Keeping this in mind, it has been decided to celebrate the anniversary on March 19.
