Toronto: Toronto and the GTA have once again been warned of a major storm over the weekend. This is the third storm to hit the region within a week.

A warning has been issued for the onset of this storm from Friday evening. Toronto and the GTA will again be covered with ice sheets, it said. Significantly reduced visibility due to heavy snow and blowing snow as total snowfall accumulations of 15 to 25 cm.

According to the Weather Canada, the snowfall rates up to 4 cm/h possible. Rapidly accumulating snowfall would be creating hazardous travel conditions.

It has also been said that there may be disruption in traffic during this period. The storm is expected to start at 5:00 pm and continue overnight. There is also a possibility upto 25 cm of snow till Saturday. The City of Toronto could receive up to 30 cm of snow.

During this time, strong winds can also blow and the visibility can also be reduced by the snow flying around. Colder than usual is also expected to increase across the country.

Rapidly accumulating snowfall creating hazardous travel conditions from Friday evening into Saturday morning. Therefore, surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
