Chandigarh: In yet another broad day light crime, in Tarn Taran, former Chairman of Patti Major Singh Dhariwal was shot at by two unidentified persons.
He was rushed to a hospital in a critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries. Police have seized the body and started investigation.
The incident took place in Tarn Taran. Major Singh, who was the chairman of the market committee during the Congress government in Punjab, was present at his marriage palace SGI village Sangwan.
It is reported that then two unidentified youths reached the resort and opened fire at him. Major Singh was hit by two bullets.
The resort staff rushed Major Singh to the hospital immediately, but he succumbed to his injuries. The police have yet to nab the accused.
