Brampton: One person was killed in a fire that broke out in a residential building in Brampton.
The emergency staff were called in to inform them about the fire in the building located near Kennedy and Tullamore roads at around 8:20 a.m.
Peel police confirmed that one person was rushed to a hospital as he was charred in the fire. He was later declared brought dead.
Peel Regional Paramedic Services rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation. Officials said that four other people have been detected with minor injuries.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Motorists have been advised by the police not to venture into the area.
