Chandigarh: Former DSP Balwinder Sekhon, who was posted in Ludhiana, has been arrested by the police. The High Court had issued an arrest warrant against Sekhon on Monday.

Sekhon had levelled several allegations against the high court judge, including corruption and collusion with governments. Sekhon had used false remarks and terminology against the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

The court had ordered the police to arrest Sekhon soon. On the other hand, Sekhon says that he is fighting in the interest of the people of Punjab, he is not afraid of anyone.

Balwinder Sekhon has filed a petition in the High Court regarding the increasing drug addiction in Punjab in which he has accused two former DGP of Punjab Suresh Arora, Dinkar Gupta and Akali Dal leaders of selling drugs.

Sekhon said that the court was not taking action in this case, even though the case was heard two days ago. The court has fixed March 28 as the next date of hearing.

Balwinder Sekhon came out after a dispute with former minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu. After which the High Court ordered him to dismiss him from the job. Since then, Sekhon continued to express anger against the high court judges. On February 12, he also held a press conference.
