Chandigarh: Sandeep Sandhu, OSD to former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, was summoned by the Ludhiana Vigilance team for questioning.
Sandeep Sandhu is accused of selling street lights worth Rs 65 lakh, RO worth Rs 23 lakh and sports kit scam worth Rs 53 lakh. It is being told that the vigilance have called two more people for questioning besides Sandhu.
On behalf of Captain Sandeep Singh Sandhu, street lights were installed in Sindhwa Bet. Rs 65 lakh was spent on these street lights. Ro systems worth Rs 23 lakh were installed, while sports kits worth Rs 53 lakh were installed. Gaurav Sharma and Harpreet Singh, who installed the lights, have also been included in the investigation. These two people have been called for questioning by the vigilance team along with Sandeep Sandhu today.
Ludhiana Vigilance SSP Suba Singh said that Sandeep Sandhu has been granted bail by the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
Sandhu, who came out on bail, was today questioned in connection with the scams. During this interrogation, contractors Gaurav Sharma and Harpreet Singh, who installed the lights, were also included in the investigation.
