New Delhi: In a road rage incident in Bengaluru on Friday, a man was dragged for a kilometre on the bonnet of his car in Karnataka, police said.
The CCTV footage of the incident has gone viral on social media. In the viral video, a young man named Darshan is seen on the bonnet of a moving car. According to the information, the car was being driven by a woman named Priyanka.
According to the police, Darshan and car and Priyanka’s car collided on Gyanbharati Main Road in the morning. After the collision, when Darshan came out of his car and tried to stop Priyanka’s car and talk to the occupants, she speeded up the car and fled from the spot, Police said.
Fearing that he might come under the car and be crushed, Darshan jumped fast and climbed onto the bonnet of the car, police said.
After this, Priyanka’s car ran for about a kilometer and during this time Darshan sat on the bonnet of the car. Police have registered a case. Priyanka, her husband and another person have been booked on charges of attempt to murder and conspiracy in connection with the incident, the police official said.
Pramod, the husband of the accused woman, has also lodged a complaint against Darshan and his three friends, accusing them of assault and molesting his wife. Police have arrested five people in connection with the incident.
