Ottawa: The federal Conservatives has gained a lead of seven-point over the Liberals, revealed a recent survey conducted by Nanos Research.

According to 1,084 random interviews conducted during the week ending January 13, if elections were held today, the Conservatives led by Pierre Poilievre would get 35.6 percent of the vote, while the Liberals would get 28. 3 percent, the NDP 20. 7 percent, the Bloc 7. 4 percent, the Green Party 5. 8 percent and the People’s Party 2. 1 percent.

The Conservatives have been leading since December. On the other hand, the NDP is also benefiting and this is hurting the Liberals on both sides.

In an interview, Nick Nanos, the founder of Nanos Research, described these figures as very bad for the Liberals.

Nanos said it was too bad for the Liberals to start the year with these numbers. It looks like most Canadians are looking at the Conservatives at the moment.
