Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief and Sangrur MP Simarjit Singh Mann has once again made a controversial statement at Latifpura in Jalandhar on Saturday. He said that those demolish houses of Sikhs in Latifpura will be punished and said AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal will be hanged by putting a rope on a tree.

Simarjit Singh Mann was adamant on his previous stand on Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh. Addressing the people in Latifpura today, he said that Bhagat Singh had killed an innocent Sikh policeman along with a British officer. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party, which follows in his footsteps by putting Bhagat Singh’s photo in offices, should be against the police. But in Latifpura, the same police brutalized the people.

Speaking on the issue of Sikhs, Mann said that injustice is being done to Sikhs everywhere. There is no Sikh judge in the supreme court of the country. Sikhs do not expect justice from the court. If a Sikh was a judge, he would have been able to feel the pain of Sikh families settled in Latifpura when he was partitioned from Pakistan in 1947. If the government can build houses for people from Bangladesh and other countries, then why not give it to Sikhs from Pakistan. Why did they run bulldozers on the houses built by them?
