Ontario: Two people were seriously injured in a double shooting in Scarborough on Tuesday evening.
Toronto police said the incident took place at 7:26 p.m. in the Warden Avenue and Hymus Road area.
Police said that when their officials reached the spot they found a woman critically injured. Police said the woman had sustained multiple bullet injuries.
According to Toronto paramedics, the woman was taken to a local trauma center in a critical condition.
Police said that another person spotted injured after the firing when he reached the local hospital on his own. But he too was transferred to the trauma centre in critical condition. Police said suspect fled from the area after executing the firing. He has not yet been identified.
Roads in the adjoining areas of the incident have been blocked and police are investigating the matter.
